Join us as we explore and celebrate STEM in TEXTILES at Flinders at Tonsley!
If you are teaching or working with Textiles and would like to learn more about laser cutting, 3D printing and the future of design and technology waiting for you or your students, don't miss this event!
There will be laser cutting button tutorials, a tour of the Flinders at Tonsley facilities including the Fab Lab, where all things creative and technical come together, as well as Guest Speakers and a Goody Bag of free samples and resources on STEM Textiles and ethical/ sustainable Textiles!
Flinders at Tonsley is a place where students interact with business, and where business interacts with researchers in areas such as engineering, medical devices and nanoscale technologies, to create the new products and processes of the 21st century.
Tonsley centrally locates computer science, engineering and mathematics at Flinders University, with the Medical Device Research Institute and Centre for NanoScale Science and Technology, alongside some of Adelaide's biggest businesses and industries.
Registration from 10am for a 10:30am start. Morning tea will be provided. Lunch can be purchased onsite (Three Little Pods Cafe or Sakura Sushi), or you are welcome to bring your own.
Onsite parking is free but limited, we encourage carpooling and use of public transport (the Clovelly Park train station is very convenient).
