Bachelor of Education (Secondary Food and Textiles Technologies)
The Bachelor of Education (Secondary Food and Textiles Technologies) is a four year undergraduate degree to prepare graduates to become Design and Technology teachers. This program includes options in Design and Technology and Home Economics. The program aims to develop skilled, committed and flexible Design and Technology Education (Home Economics) professionals who have the knowledge and pedagogical skills to promote effective and inclusive learning in secondary and middle school education settings.
- Studies in the Design and Technology option include design, electronics, materials technology, multimedia, engineering, and futures studies.
- Studies in the Home Economics option include design, food and nutrition, hospitality, textile technology and child study.
