Recognition of volunteers
On Thursday the 24th May, the Council of Education Associations of South Australia (CEASA) held a ceremony at Thebarton Community Centre to recognise educators who give up their time to volunteer on Association Management Committees and Boards.
Narelle Bennett and Samantha Zimmermann were both recognised for over 10 years of service to HEIA SA. Without the work of volunteers many organisations, and in particular, HEIA SA, would not function. We thank Narelle and Samantha for their ongoing contribution and all our volunteers both past and present, who have worked over the years to provide PD opportunities and a strong network for Home Economists.
Guest speakers included Jo Bell, Project Manager from Voluneering and Ian Steel, CEO, Kickstart for Kids.
In place of gifts to volunteers, a donation of $1000 was made to Kickstart for Kids.
